Jason Hildebrand, Actor (Andrew)
Jason is a professional actor, award-winning filmmaker, and communication coach. He has performed in theatre, film and television, and continues to tour the globe with his acclaimed solo performances including: The Prodigal Trilogy, Life of David, Blue Like Jazz // Live and Kingdom of Herod. Jason also works with organizations, theatre and film companies and educational institutions in various capacities throughout North America and Europe. Jason met American actors Ted Swartz and Lee Eshleman, the writers of Fish Eyes a number of years ago while on tour. They became fast friends. Lee tragically passed away two years ago on the cusp of a live recording of the performance with a film crew from Willow Creek. Ted asked Jason to step in to assume Lee’s role in the play – the part of Andy to his Peter. Jason fell in love with the play and has longed to produce it here in Canada ever since. Along with his work on stage Jason has developed, produced and acted in the multi-award winning short film The Prodigal Trilogy, a film version of Blue Like Jazz // Live and an audio recording of Life of David. Other selected stage credits include: James Keller in The Miracle Worker, Mr.Toad in the Dora Award nominated Wind In The Willows, Ez in Shell Game, and a host of characters in The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, Brookstone Performing Arts; the Dog and Angel in Mad Forrest at The Toronto Centre; Zak in The Heart As It Lived, and Rev. David in The Foreigner, Theatre & Company; Antonio in The Tempest, Gov. Philip in Our Country's Good, and Oswald in King Lear, Theatre @ York. Jason has a degree in acting from the renowned York University theatre school in Toronto, Canada. He completed this after one year of theological study. Don Tjart, Actor (Peter)
Don is a professional actor who has been involved in numerous national and international television commercial campaigns as well as many independent film projects. Don has also been heavily involved in the theatrical and musical ministries of The Peoples Church in Toronto. Prior to working as an actor, Don was a Worship Pastor for 15 years. Don currently gives lay leadership to the worship arts ministries of an urban Toronto church that he and his family now attend. Don is also involved in commercial and film production work behind the camera. He has a unique combination of creative and management skills that he has put to work alongside Jason Hildebrand’s recent award-winning film work.
Tom Carson, Director
Tom’s directorial work has appeared on stages from Montreal to Vancouver, winning the hearts of audiences and garnering critical acclaim throughout the country. Tom’s direction has brought to life a wide range of productions for both adults and children, and his work has been nominated for a number of awards. Tom has directed numerous memorable productions such as 2000 Candles for the 2000 Candles Collective, Life of David, Job Alive and Blue Like Jazz // Live for Jason Hildebrand and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, The Big Picture, and Shell Game for Brookstone Performing Arts. For five years, Tom held the position of General and Artistic Manager of Smile Theatre in Toronto. Tom lives in Milton, Ontario with his wife and children and runs Carson Academy (www.carsonacademy.ca).
